One of the reasons Andrea continues to fall in love with theatre every day is that at it's core, theatre is a fundamentally and non-negotiably collaborative art form - this is the thesis for her directing work. 

Andrea loves the element of play in a rehearsal room that centers around ensemble-based movement work and actor-first impulses. She brings inspiration from Columbian Collective Creation, Pina Bausch, and Katie Mitchelle's Director's Craft into her directorial processes. Her works intersects themes of gender, sexuality and violence, and her focus is in bridging them with an audience in an impactful but responsible way. She has received directorial mentorship from desirée leverenz and William Dao, and is always seeking further opportunities to shadow directors and continue to improve her craft.
